PlayStation 3 (PS3) - (pronounced pl-ay-sta-tion th-ree) is the third generation gaming console by Sony Entertainment which was created to supersede the PlayStation 2 (PS2).  The PS3 contains a PowerPC based core that runs at 3.2Ghz, 512MB L2 cache, RSX 550Mhz GPU, Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS processing, Bluetooth controllers, ethernet/WiFi and supports Blu-ray discs.
