Nintendo DS
- (pronounced
Nin-ten-do D-S) is the revolutionary new portable console from
Nintendo that includes dual screens, touch screen technology, wireless
communication and voice recognition. The unit is powered by two ARM CPUs
which allows the system to produce a variety of state-of-the-art
graphical effects, supports 260,000 colours and allows for wireless
communication using the IEEE 802.11. The dual screen technology allows
for a plethora of gaming advances that has never been experienced in
gaming before with the touch screen not only used in games but also to
communicate between other DS devices. The console can also connect to a
local wireless network of up to 16 players with a range of up to 100
feet and some multiplayer games only require one DS card to be played
wireless which means other players do not have to purchase the same
game.
