Real Adventures Pet Vet

Real Adventures Pet Vet continues the tradition of cute and cuddly pet games for the Nintendo DS which transformers gamers into a virtual vet. In its essence, Real Adventures Pet Vet is a bundle of animal mini-games that has the player approached by various different pet owners with different animals in order for you to solve their dilemma. Best of all, the cases in Real Adventures Pet Vet has been written by real-world Vets to give the game that true edge.

Features

  • Realistic 3D graphics

  • Cases written by real-life vets

  • Ask the pet owners questions, diagnose the problems and use realistic medical instruments to treat the animals

  • Change bandages, administer their treatment and pamper them

  • Improve your knowledge of animals and become the #1 pet vet

  • 30 poor pets need your care!

  • 3 difficulty levels

  • Fun quizzes to test your knowledge

The game starts with a worried pet owner approaching the virtual vet and the gamer will need to ask the owner a variety of questions, the more precise the vet is, the more questions they will be able to ask.

Once you have asked the questions, you will have a rough diagnosis of what is wrong with the animal and you will then be required to select a variety of different medical items from stethoscopes to scalpels to solve the poor little animals dilemma. Fortunately if you are targeting the incorrect area of the animal, you will have the assistance of a vet technician to hopefully point you in the right direction.

This is where the mini-games come into play as the gamer must perform a variety of different pet diagnoses, surgery and medications for their patients. Developers Legacy Interactive have done a great job at the medical mini-games in the title and once you have completed the surgery or diagnosis, you will then be asked to give your verdict on why the animal is ill with the vet technician giving you an overall score at the end. The developers have also made great use of the Nintendo DS Stylus which makes the gameplay truly enjoyable.

The game is not all serious as the player must also feed, wash and play with their patients which is similar to a certain other Nintendo game but this time, the gamer has a variety of more animals to be entertained with. It's rather cute, addictive and entertaining.

Graphically, the game is quite realistic with detailed animals and great in game animation. With over 30 different pets available to your vet, Legacy Interactive should be commended for their realistic looking animals that also show some emotion if you are searching for the animals diagnosis in the wrong area.

Real Adventured Pet Vet does feature a variety of realistic animal sounds and that's about it where the game finishes in the sound department. Needless to say, it does help the gamer become engaged in the title with the variety of different sounds and noises.

In conclusion, Real Adventures Pet Vet is a very entertaining and addictive title on the Nintendo DS that features relevant mini-games with a real-world twist, however without the title being too dry or serious. Great fun!
