Zombie Bit Me (aka Shantel Knight) Interview – Zombae Cosplay

We catch-up with professional model, gamer and cosplayer Shantel Knight (aka Zombie Bit Me) to discuss… well, cosplay of course!

Welcome back to Impulse Gamer… who was your favourite cosplay in 2017?

Thank you, Sombra hands down was my favourite 2017 cosplay. So much work went into that from various artists.

What about 2018?

I have lots planned but can’t pick a favourite yet.

Tell us EVERYTHING about your amazing Sombra cosplay?

There were various well known artists that worked on different aspects including myself, this was a big project of a costume and I can happily say if I ever wanted to sell it, it would be worth around 2k.

What did you like about playing Sombra?

She is a fun character to not only play in game but acting like her in cosplay is a lot of fun too.

And your Queens Blade cosplay?

I have a few more I plan on doing in 2018 and all I can say is I have more baddies to come from that anime ❤

Besides cosplay, what else have you been up to?

I have been working hard as a marketing and branding expert with a company as well as being the creative director and brand ambassador.

Modelling or cosplay, which is your favourite and why? (or both)

Both, both have very similar elements to them… though just plain modelling is a lot less stressful it can also get boring when I don’t get to do crazy extravagant things.

If you could turn into any of your cosplays, which one would it be and why?

ZeroTwo from darling in the franxx, she’s a new character from a new anime but I fell in love with her charm so fast I had already started cosplaying her.. She seems like she’d have a fun life to live.

Out of all your cosplays, which one has been your most favourite and why?

I don’t think I can answer this yet as I have not lived long enough to do all the costumes I want to yet to even be able to pick a favourite. Plus I tend to jump obsessions fast.

What about sexiest?

My sexiest cosplay…. maybe my original blackcat? I’m not sure… as a girl who doesn’t like to wear pants most of my cosplays come out rather on the sexy side.

Lastly, what advice would you give to up and coming cosplayers?

The same advice I always give. Keep your head up, don’t give up, and remember this is all for fun.
