XCD Portable Air Purifier Review

This clever little device from XCD is a portable air purifier that has been designed for your car and simply sits in your cup holder. The premise behind the XCD Portable Air Purifier is to clean the air inside your car and remove harmful NO2/SO2 traffic fumes – in other words providing you with clean smelling air inside your car thanks to the HEPA H11 filter. The XCD Portable Air Purifier also has a colour display to show you the quality of your air and is fully portable that even comes with a USB-C charging.

As you can see from the above images, the XCD Portable Air Purifier is quite a small cylindrical device that measures at 222mm (height) x 110mm (width) x 110mm (depth) with a weight of 0.33kg. It also feels quite sturdy and professionally built with a 1-year limited warranty for additional peace of mind.

The Setup

To turn on the device you simply hold down the power button for 3-seconds and again to turn it off. The display which is conveniently located at the top is where you can see the battery level, the speed of the fan and more importantly, the quality of your air.

Of course read the instructions before you start and best of all, the XCD Portable Air Purifier is very simple to use.

If you have a USB connection in your car, this allows you to charge while you’re on the go or alternatively, a high-speed USB power adapter is needed at home. In order to clean the filter, you simply twist the XCD Portable Air Purifier to get access to it. You then use a damp cloth to clean the filter. It is also super quiet and runs at just 40dB with its highest speed rating that makes it quite unnoticeable.
