Philips delivers big 360-degree sound with launch of new wireless portable speaker range

Sydney, September 17, 2015 – Philips Sound has introduced the latest addition to its local audio range with the launch of the Philips BT6000 and BT6600 Wireless Portable Speakers. Both deliver wireless music streaming with a warm, natural sound, with the capsule-shaped speakers each protected by a splash-proof, rugged exterior.

The BT6000 is less than 19cms wide, and 7cms high and deep, yet delivers lifelike, distortion-free 360 degree sound through two pairs of drivers and passive radiators located on opposite sides of the speaker. Delivering 12W RMS music power, the speakers are also enhanced by proprietary Digital Sound Processing technology that optimises the performance of compact speaker boxes.

Ideal for music lovers at home and on-the-go, the BT6000 weighs in at just 500 grams, has a built-in microphone for taking and making calls, and is powered by a 4400mAh, eight-hour rechargeable battery that goes the distance. It is rugged, sleek and portable, with the ability to strap onto almost anything for easy transport.

Featuring both Bluetooth and NFC connections that can memorise up to five devices, the BT6000 pairs seamlessly to compatible devices for hassle-free entertainment – just touch your smart device to the speaker and the connection is made. Pluggable into any available USB socket when it needs charging, the speaker also includes an audio-in for wired connections.

The BT6600 delivers all of the same features of the BT6000 and more, with bigger sound (15W RMS) and a longer, 6000mAh, 12-hour rechargeable battery that can also double as a power bank for other devices. It allows for up to three different users to pair to the device, and comes with a charging base for quick and easy recharging.
