Australian STEM Video Game Challenge

What: Awards presented to students of the winning game designs in the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge. Hosted by Steven ‘Bajo’ O’Donnell, co-presenter of ABC TV’s Good Game, winning games will be showcased onstage when expert game industry professionals Dr Kristy de Salas, Josh Caratelli and Ben Buckton unpack what goes into making a great game and talk with the winning students.

Where: PAX Australia gaming expo in the Kookaburra Theatre, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre

When: Awards and showcase at 11.00am Saturday 5 November.

Who: Winning students from across Australia in 12 game design categories.

Why: The Australian STEM Video Game Challenge aims to increase interest and participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by all students in Years 5 to 12 across the nation, but particularly girls and students from low socioeconomic background who are typically underrepresented in STEM fields.
