Zone Wars Limited Time Mode Now Available in Fortnite Battle Royale
Fortnite is today introducing the popular ‘Zone Wars’ limited time mode (LTM) into Battle Royale.
Zone Wars replicates the late game of Fortnite Battle Royale with up to 16 players. The end game of Fortnite sees the Storm Eye shrink to a small circle and move around the map, forcing the remaining players into a small area to battle out for the Victory Royale.
Creative Mode allows players to build their own game modes in Fortnite, and top fan-made maps have been included as Battle Royale LTMs. As the name suggests, these game modes are only available for a short period of time, and can be selected from in the Battle Royale mode lobby.
There will be four maps available to choose from, all created by Fortnite community developers:
- Vortex Zone Wars by ZeroYaHero
- Zone Wars Colosseum by JesGran
- Desert Zone Wars 2.0 by JotaPeGame
DOWNHILL RIVE ZONE WARS(6.0) by Enigma
All players can complete a free set of Zone Wars challenges to unlock a Zone Wars Spray and additional Back Blings. These free challenges unlock on September 28 at 10:00 PM AEST. Players could also pick up the Zone Wars Challenge Bundle in the Item Shop to secure the Hot Zone and Danger Zone Outfits. Bundle owners will access premium challenges that unlock style variants for the Hot Zone and Danger Zone outfits and a new Back Bling. The Zone Wars creative maps are a favourite among competitive Fortnite players, who can now test their skills without waiting until the end of a Fortnite game, while giving the rest of us players a chance to experience the Fortnite end game for the first time.
The Zone Wars LTMs and Challenge Bundle will be available until October 7th at 4:00 AM AEST.
