ASUS Introduces MeMO Pad FHD 10 tablet with 10.1-inch Full HD display

Sydney, 21 August 2013 — ASUS has announced the Australian launch of the MeMO Pad™ FHD 10 – an affordable 10.1 inch tablet with a Full HD IPS display. Powered by an Intel® Atom™ processor and Android 4.2, MeMO Pad FHD 10 also features ASUS SonicMaster audio technology for rich and detailed sound from built-in stereo speakers, plus high-quality HD cameras front and back.

“The MeMO Pad FHD 10 is perfect for consumers looking for a 10inch tablet for multiple usages,” said Vivian Hung, Regional Head of ASUS’ System Business Group. “Using Intel’s new Clover Trail Plus dual Core processor, the MeMO Pad FHD 10 offers excellent graphics performance and up to ten hours of battery life for even more enjoyment of movies, games and multimedia.”

The perfect tablet for Full HD entertainment

ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 features the Intel Atom Z2560 (1.6GHz) processor and 2GB RAM for smooth web browsing, video playback and gaming. The 10.1-inch display has a Full HD (1920 x 1200) native resolution for crisp visuals and IPS technology with 178-degree wide viewing angles ensuring accurate, vibrant colours.

Setting the FHD 10 apart from its predecessors is the new inclusion of ASUS Miracast. ASUS Miracast allows videos and presentations to be streamed wirelessly to compatible HDTVs with a Miracast dongle, making the 10 inch tablet ideal for easy shared entertainment and for mobile professionals looking to lighten their travelling load.

Just 9.5mm thick and weighing 580g, MeMO Pad FHD 10 also features high-quality stereo speakers with enhanced sound, courtesy of ASUS SonicMaster audio technology and Audio Wizard tuning software.

A rear 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and 1080p Full HD video recording mean MeMO Pad FHD 10 can capture high-quality still and moving images, while a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera makes for easy face-to-face video chat. MeMO Pad FHD 10 also features a high-capacity lithium polymer battery that lasts for up to 10 hours with video playback.

In Australia, the MeMO Pad FHD 10 will be available from late August in Silk White, with a 32GB capacity. The tablet features a microSD card slot for adding up to 32GB more storage and 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage.

Exclusive ASUS apps and features

ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes with a number of exclusive ASUS apps. SuperNote Lite is used for reading, typing, or scribbling notes; while ASUS Studio features several photo editing tools and utilities for managing photo albums. ASUS Splendid video technology optimises images by enhancing colour, brightness, contrast and sharpness to best-suit on-screen content.
