TEMS BRINGS HER BORN IN THE WILD TOUR TO AUSTRALIA THIS NOVEMBER

Frontier Touring is excited to announce Grammy Award-winning, Oscar nominated, Lagos, Nigeria-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tems will make her highly anticipated return to Australia with a series of East Coast headline shows this November.

Last down under in September 2023 when she performed sold-out headline shows on her debut visit, Tems this year returns to Melbourne and Sydney, adding a stop in Brisbane for the very first time. Tems’ Born In The Wild Tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Saturday 9 November, before heading to Brisbane’s The Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 12 November and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Friday 15 November.

Frontier Members can access presale tickets from 10am local time on Monday 13 May, before tickets are on sale at 11am local time on Wednesday 15 May. Tickets and tour information can be found at frontiertouring.com/tems

Tems last month returned with ‘Love Me JeJe’, the first taste of music from her anticipated debut studio album, Born In The Wild, set for release this May. ‘JeJe’ means softly in Nigerian, and the song pays homage to Tems’ childhood and upbringing. Written entirely by Tems and produced by Spax and Guiltybeatz, the song features an interpolation of the Nigerian classic of the same name by Seyi Sodimu. Watch the music video HERE.

The song was performed during Tems’ Coachella Music Festival debut in April, a set that was met with rave reviews with Billboard praising the “striking set… backed by a gorgeous outdoor setting on the stage that perfectly matched her warm, powerful voice”, as Wizkid and Justin Bieber dropped in for a surprise rendition of ‘Essence’.

Tems has skyrocketed to stardom since featuring on Wizkid’s 2020 track, ‘Essence’, her instantly recognisable vocals going viral across the world. With Justin Bieber later jumping on the remix of the track, ‘Essence’ became the first Afrobeats song to enter the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has become an anthemic moment that credits the singer’s rise into popular music.

Tems was recently honored with the Breakthrough Award at Billboard’s 2024 Women in Music Awards, where she delivered a stunning live performance of  ‘Not An Angel’ – watch HERE. A nod to her songwriting, production and creation of some of the most successful Afrobeats tracks from the last few years – including Grammy-winning track ‘WAIT FOR YOU’ with Future and Drake‘No.1’ with breakthrough artist Tyla, and ‘Fountains’ with Drake, as well as a feature on Beyonce’s track ‘MOVE’ – Tems is a collaborator and creator, giving her genre-bending fusion of Afrobeats, neo-soul and alternative R&B their place in mainstream music.

Ahead of her debut album release this year, Tems released two new songs ‘Me & U‘ and ‘Not An Angel‘, notably marking her first full-length releases since her ‘If Orange Was A Place‘ EP in 2021. Since its release, ‘Me & U’ has amassed over 45 million streams, with both songs reaching No.3 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs Chart.

Performing multiple headline shows and festival sets across Europe in the summer, Tems will land down under just a year on from her last visit in what will be her biggest Australian shows to date. Returning with billions of global streams and multiple accolades and award nominations, Tems’ superstar status is looming. With undeniable vocals that command a crowd, and supporters that include the likes of DrakeBeyonceSZA and Nicki Minaj, don’t miss Tems live in Australia November.
