Starfield Levels Up with AMD FSR 3, Unleashing Higher Performance with Stunning Visuals

Today, AMD’s popular open-source AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) technology is now available in the PC version of Starfield by Bethesda Game Studios, offering stunning visuals and performance boosts that are out of this world. The update went live today on Steam.

AMD FSR 3 uses a combination of super resolution temporal upscaling technology and advanced frame generation to provide a massive increase in framerates in supported games like Starfield and others, delivering amazing high-quality, high-performance gaming on a wide range of hardware – including competitor solutions.

Gamers can experience up to 1.9X higher framerates in Starfield with FSR 3 frame generation enabled in addition to the performance boost from upscaling. To enable FSR 3gamers should navigate to Display Settings and select the desired Upscaling option, adjust the Render Resolution Scale to set the upscaling quality level, and toggle Frame Generation to ON

Todd Howard, Starfield Game Director, said: “It’s been great partnering with AMD on Starfield, and we’re excited to keep that going by introducing FSR 3 for frame generation. We’re experiencing a new era for games with techniques like this where hardware and software can work so well together for all new levels of speed and immersion.”
