Shokz to power six 2026 Abbott World Marathon Majors Races as the official headphone partner
The “Stars” represent both the iconic Abbott World Marathon Majors Races and the personal goals every runner pursues. By launching Chasing Stars together with Shokz Global Ambassador Eliud Kipchoge and Shokz Global Athletes Andy Buchanan, Hellen Obiri, Conner Mantz, and Eilish McColgan, Shokz aims to move closer to its vision of building “A Running World”, encouraging more people to run and to chase their own stars.
Through the initiative, Shokz will recruit runners worldwide and provide a limited number of participants with access to a 2026 Abbott World Marathon Majors race entry for which Shokz is the Official Headphone Partner, including the Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America, the TCS London Marathon, the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and the TCS New York City Marathon.
The program is also designed to support everyday runners while amplifying stories throughout their journey to inspire runners around the world.
The initiative comes following the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS’ debut as the 7th Abbott World Marathon Major last year, helping fuel Sydney’s growing appeal as a global marathon destination. In 2025, the event became the largest marathon ever held in Australia, with more than 32,000 runners from 117 different countries crossing the finish line. Interest has continued to surge in 2026, with more than 123,000 runners entering the ballot, a 56 per cent increase on 2025, driven by strong growth in international applications, according to the official TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS media release.2
Adding to the occasion, Shokz is set to co-launch a limited-edition version of its most favoured sports headphones, the OpenRun Pro 2, with each of its Abbott World Marathon Majors Races Partners.
Coming in a striking deep blue and gold colourway, with the marathon map featured on the box and case, they’re the perfect keepsake for runners celebrating their major while supporting future goals.
The marathon-exclusive OpenRun Pro 2 will be released by race, with each version available exclusively via the local Shokz websites and at the expo of its corresponding marathon, where Shokz serves as the Official Headphone Partner.
The OpenRun Pro 2 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS Co-Branded Edition will be available ahead of the race.
