Welcome to the latest line of ultra fast USB 3.0 flash drives with SanDisk’s Ultra Fit that boasts read speeds of up to 130MB/s and write speeds 5 times faster than traditional USB 2.0 devices. The drive also boasts a 5-year warranty which gives the user additional protection in not just the longevity of the device but also the data that you store on the device itself plus some funky software as well. Coming in three different sizes that include 16 (reviewed), 32 and 64GB, SanDisk ensure that this product targets a variety of users from business people to gamers and those that love watching movies.

The Ultra Fit also comes with SanDisk SecureAccess which basically protects the data on your USB via a 128-bit AES encryption process so if you should accidentally lose the drive, you can rest assured that your data will be safe. However with that said, the unit is extremely small and measures at just 19.1 x 15.9 x 8.8 mm with an almost non-existent weight. That’s probably my only gripe about the product is the size because you could easily misplace the USB drive due to its tiny size.

In terms of Benchmarking, we tested the product with CrystalDiskMark that is a popular (freeware) hard drive benchmarking tool and the highest read speed was 131MB/s with the write speed around 31MB/s. Compared to USB 2.0, it was definitely far superior using USB 3.0, especially with these high speeds. With speeds like this, it also means that you can safely watch a high definition movie via a USB 3.0 port without any stuttering or long pauses.
Final Thoughts?
The SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive may be tiny but it definitely a packs a punch when it comes to performance and is a must have USB flash drive, especially for those that want high speed read/write transfers. As mentioned, the only drawback is the size but apart from that, it comes with additional software to protect your data (included on the USB) plus access to RescuePRO for one-year which allows you to recover missing files.
