Samsung introduces its first curved monitor range in Australia
New range designed to provide a wide field of view with a great sense of depth

SYDNEY, Australia – 26 February 2015 – Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Samsung Australia) today announced the pricing and availability of its 27-inch LS27D590CS and 34-inch LS34E790CNS curved displays, designed to enhance entertainment content and provide an immersive viewing experience through their curved design and innovative features.*
The 34-inch curved display incorporates a 3440 x 1440 resolution panel – 2.5 times the resolution of Full HD – and has an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio to deliver a truly immersive viewing experience that lets Australians enjoy big, bold and stunning panoramic views while they work and relax.

With an ultra-wide viewing angle of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically, the curved monitors’ vertical alignment (VA) panels optimise the viewing experience from virtually any position and minimise picture distortion.

Ultimate Viewing Experience
The display curvature is designed to provide an immersive experience in comparison to traditional flat screen monitors.
The curved display also creates a wide field of view and great sense of depth, which enables viewers to enjoy a panoramic view.
Optimised for Entertainment
The integration of impressive entertainment features takes the gaming and content viewing experience to an optimum level. A game mode function can be activated with a simple touch of a button and is designed to detect on-screen changes, correct blurry images, enhance colours and alter contrast for superb visibility of fast and fluid in-game action. Both displays have Dual Stereo Speakers built into the curved design to deliver rich, realistic sound for the ultimate entertainment experience.
The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) 2.0 technology is designed to let Australians watch their favourite movie or video in one window while simultaneously working on a spreadsheet. Whether it’s 720p or 480p, PIP 2.0 should maintain the source’s original resolution up to HD.
Both 27-inch and 34-inch monitors carry a clean and minimalist design, to help offer a distraction-free viewing experience. Users are also able to easily adjust the screen angle using the tilt screen function to minimise glare and reflection. The 34-inch curved display is also height adjustable. Both monitors support 100x100mm VESA standard brackets for stress-free wall or table mounting.
2015 CES Innovation Award
The Samsung 34-inch LS34E790CNS curved display was recognised with the prestigious Innovation Award at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow. Products entered in the CES Innovation program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers, and members of the media to honour outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 28 categories.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung 27-inch LS27D590CS curved display is now available to purchase at select retailers for an RRP of $549.
The Samsung 34-inch LS34E790CNS curved display is now available to purchase at select retailers for an RRP of $1649.
