Returnal launches today, exclusive to PS5

Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia is today celebrating the launch of the highly-anticipated sci-fi shooter from Housemarque, Returnal, exclusive to PlayStation 5. Returnal is available to purchase now on PlayStation Store and from select retailers for RRP $124.95 AUD.

Get ready to BREAK THE CYCLE in a world that resets with every death. Take on the planet as Selene, master her arsenal and discover her story, through an explosive next-generation rogue like experience that’s not repetitive, it’s replayable.

About Returnal

After crash-landing on this shape-shifting world, Selene must search through the barren landscape of an ancient civilization for her escape. Isolated and alone, she finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again, and again, she’s defeated – forced to restart her journey every time she dies.

Through relentless roguelike gameplay, players will discover that just as the planet changes with every cycle, so do the items at their disposal. Every loop offers new combinations, forcing players to push their boundaries and approach combat with a different strategy each time.

Brought to life by stunning visual effects, the dark beauty of the decaying world around players is packed with explosive surprises. From high stakes, bullet hell-fuelled combat, to visceral twists and turns through stark and contrasting environments. Players will explore, discover and fight their way through an unforgiving journey, where mystery stalks their every move.

Designed for extreme replayability, the procedural world of Returnal invites players to dust themselves off in the face of defeat and take on new, evolving challenges with every rebirth.
