Pop Culture Comes to Life in Adelaide as Oz Comic-Con Returns This May

Passionate about pop culture? Oz Comic-Con is set to return to Adelaide on May 30–31, bringing a massive weekend celebration of fandom, film, television, gaming, cosplay and creativity to the Adelaide Showgrounds.

Leading the guest lineup is Gordon Cormier, the breakout young actor taking the world by storm as Aang in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Beloved by fans of the iconic franchise, Gordon’s performance as the last Airbender has introduced a new generation to the world of Avatar while honouring the legacy of the original animated series.

With his natural charisma and heartfelt portrayal of Aang, Gordon has quickly become a fan favourite across global fandoms. Oz Comic-Con Adelaide will give fans the chance to see him live on stage for panels and Q&As and meet him in person for autographs and photo opportunities across the weekend.

Beyond celebrity appearances, Oz Comic-Con Adelaide 2026 will deliver an action-packed program of immersive experiences. Attendees can explore interactive gaming zones, take part in insightful industry panels and discover incredible work from Australia’s leading illustrators, writers and pop culture creators.

Cosplay fans can step into the spotlight with the Australian Championships of Cosplay, one of the country’s most prestigious cosplay competitions, alongside meet-and-greets with local cosplay talent. The show floor will also feature artist alley, workshops, fan-favourite competitions, exclusive merchandise and hands-on activities for all ages.

Whether you’re a dedicated collector, passionate cosplayer, hardcore gamer or casual fan, Oz Comic-Con Adelaide promises something for everyone, with more guest announcements still to come.
