Naughty Dog is the critically acclaimed studio responsible for creating seminal titles including the Crash Bandicoot franchise, The Last of Us and the UNCHARTEDfranchise with the highly anticipated UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End due for release 10th May 2016. Naughty Dog has received high banter for the series for its deeply engaging storylines, compelling visuals and emotionally developed characters.

Sophie Ryan, CEO, Sony Foundation Australia says, “Alongside our partner PlayStation Australia, we are pleased to auction this unique item to help build much-needed youth cancer centres. Sadly too many young Australians with cancer are falling through the gaps of our medical system. We are working to change this and improve survival rates with care for 16 to 25 year olds”.

Michael Ephraim, Managing Director Sony Computer Entertainment Australia says: “Naughty Dog as a studio is truly admired by everyone in the gaming industry and we are pleased to partner with them to create this unique auction. We hope players get involved and bid on this priceless console for a truly great cause.”

The auction will close at this year’s fundraising event River4Ward taking place on the 23rd of March in Melbourne, which will see performances from Sony Music artists including Australian music icon Daryl Braithwaite, Jessica Mauboy and Cyrus. Thanks to last year’s inaugural River4Ward, Australia’s third ‘You Can’ centre is currently under construction at the new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne and is due to open in July this year.
