PAPER PLANES flying high at the box office – Roadshow Media Release

We are excited to report that PAPER PLANES has soared to the top of the Australian box office and has been the #1 film for the past three days (Mon-Wed).

Total box office figures for the Top Five films from Thursday, January 15 to Wednesday, January 21 are:

Taken 3 – $3.7m

Paper Planes – $3.3m (opening week)

Into The Woods – $3.2m

Unbroken – $3.1m (opening week)

Big Hero 6 – $2.5m

The outstanding result for Paper Planes follows on from the success of The Water Diviner which took $4.8m in its first week after opening on Boxing Day – an amazing start to the year for Australian films!
