Once the Musical … see it before it closes!
Once the Musical is the winner of 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and is unfortunately closing on the 8th of February 2015. Currently playing at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne since October last year, Once the Musical is the emotional story of two lost souls, Guy (Tom Parson) and Girl (Madeleine Jones) who are both “stuck” due to past relationships. However when they meet, they help ignite a passion inside each other that helps them move on… whether this is a better place remains to be seen.
With that said, the story is beautifully recreated on stage and we had the chance to see Once the Musical again on the 22nd of January and I must admit that this musical is still just as great, the second time around. With some beautiful songs and a very talented cast led by Parson and Jones, Once the Musical is definitely one of the most original, emotional and beautiful musicals of the 21st century and if you live in Melbourne or even interstate for that matter, than you really should do yourself a favour and see this musical before it closes in Australia.
