MICHELLE BRASIER: SPACE TORTOISE (MICF 2016)

In 1968 the Soviet Union sent the first tortoise into deep space.

That tortoise was my daddy.

I’ll sing about it.

MICHELLE BRASIER, accomplished musical theatre performer, rising comedic talent and one half of award-winning comedy duo Backwards Anorak (A Hip Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Winter Is Coming), premieres her debut solo Melbourne International Comedy Festival show SPACE TORTOISE.

Like most casual employees working in retail, SPACE TORTOISE has dreams for a life beyond polyblends. Go on a journey of love found and lost, trips planned then cancelled and all the friendships made along the way.

Brasier studied at both the Victorian College of the Arts and the University of Ballarat Arts Academy. She has been nominated for several Green Room Awards and is an accomplished singer, actor and writer.
