Metro Comic Con: Tickets are on sale now

Metro Comic Con is coming to the Melbourne Showgrounds on 8-9 July 2023, and bringing with it a showcase of pop culture, stars of the big and small screen, talented artists and family-friendly fun.

Tickets to the entertainment fanfest are now available from metrocomiccon.com.au, with a range of ticket options starting from $40 for an adult and $20 for a child.

Ticket types

Standard adult and child (5-12 years) single day tickets and weekend passes will grant attendees entry to the event for the relevant days and access to a range of panels, attractions and exhibitor stalls.

Budget-conscious families will be pleased to learn that every standard adult ticket includes free standard entry for one accompanied child aged 5-12.

A limited number of Metro Xpress Passes are available. This pass grants holders inclusions such as early access to the event, express queuing, express seating in open panels and free cloaking of up to two items.

Key to the City Passes are extremely limited and offer exclusive access such as early event entry, four autographs, four photographs, express queuing, reserved panel seating (with restrictions), access to specialty guest panels, unlimited free cloaking, entrance to the exclusive Key to the City Lounge and a ticket to the Friday Night FUNction.

Media accreditation

Media accreditation applications are now open and Metro Comic Con is pleased to invite interested media to submit their requests for media passes before Friday, 16 June. Limited passes are available for media outlets, journalists, bloggers, creators and photographers interested in covering the event. Those who wish to apply for media accreditation can do so via this form.

Exhibitor applications

Those interested in applying for exhibitor passes can find exhibitor information packs and application forms on the Metro Comic Con website. Metro Comic Con welcomes applications from retail vendors, creatives, promotors, collectors and crafters. Interested parties are asked to read application guidelines carefully before applying.

Metro Comic Con will deliver a weekend full of fun in an inclusive and welcoming space. Whether you’re a fan of film, TV, animation, gaming, cosplay, collectables, publishing or comics, Metro Comic Con has something for everyone.

Guests already announced for the first Metro Comic Con event are:

  • Actors Henry Thomas (T. the Extra-Terrestrial), Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Brendan Fehr (Roswell) and Katy O’Brian (The Mandalorian).
  • Voice artist Daman Mills (Dragon Ball Super, Fighting Fantasy VII Remake).
  • Comic book writer Andrew Constant.
  • Illustrators and comic artists Glenn Fabry, Paul Mason, Nicola Scott, Jason Palmer and Mike McKone.

More guests, panel information and activities will be announced soon.

The event will feature Q&A sessions, informative panels, photo and autograph opportunities, and appearances by local and international stars. All this will be alongside an array of pop culture exhibitors, activities, cosplay opportunities, fan and professional artist stalls, merchandise and more.
