The blocks are strong!
With the success of Star Wars The Force Awakens adventures in LEGO comes the season pass. Adding three additional levels and character, this is a nice addition to an already amazingly fun game. There is a twist to this season pass that I kind of like. Potential crummy spoilers abound if you have not seen the movie yet which you seriously should have.
First off it is cheap. Secondly there are some fun twists to the gameplay that are well worth exploring. The first mission sees you take the role of Poe Dameron, the likeable Rebel pilot as he takes on the hunt for BB-8 after being stranded on Jakku after escaping the First Order. Hopefully you guys have seen the Force Awakens because yup, that’s what happens. There are loads of fun moments and of course the humour that you have come to expect from these wonderful games.
Next is awesomeness indeed. Remember the battle of Takodana? Imagine being able to play it from the perspective of storming that planet with none other than daddy killer Kylo Ren! Yes this is an option for you and it one that once you get over the guilts from following one of the most hated characters in the Star Wars galaxy, is a LOT of fun. There are all sorts of ways to get through but I can assure you that it is a good bit of gameplay and there is a ton of stuff to do.
Finally, you get to play the role of two Rebels who have to make their way out of Starkiller Base before drama really hits the fan and makes life hard for them. Taking the help of an astromech droid, this is a pretty intense mission that sees you battling for survival with overwhelming forces getting in your way. Top notch gameplay and once again so much to do in terms of exploring that it really makes this well worth getting.
