JAMMING WITH THE COMPETITION…MULTIROOM AUDIO GETS INTEGRATED

LASER Co. Introduces Affordable WiFi Wireless Speaker with built-in Qualcomm AllPlay

Sydney, September 29, 2015: LASER, the Australian-owned electronics company with a focus on affordable, innovative technology for all, has today announced local availability of its SPK-WFQ10 Wireless WiFi Multiroom Speaker. The SPK-WFQ10 provides the ultimate in value, versatility and sound quality. Feature-rich with built-in Qualcomm AllPlay chip and Spotify license, it will sync with multiroom audio speakers from a wide variety of All-Play-compatible brands, giving consumers ultimate choice to mix and match to accommodate their individual preferences and specific home entertainment desires.

The dual band SPK-WFQ10 WiFi speaker simply connects directly to an in-home WiFi network, without a WiFi bridging device, and can be controlled on the ‘Qualcomm AllPlay Jukebox’ app by any smartphone, tablet or computer that is connected on the same network.

Certified with Qualcomm AllPlay, the SPK-WFQ10 speaker is compatible with other smart media-supported brands and future AllPlay products (https://www.qualcomm.com/products/allplay/platform). The ability to connect up to ten speakers on the same network means users can create their ultimate tailored multi-audio listening experience throughout the home, utilising them individually or grouping them together. Users can also connect multiple smart devices to the network and control playback and volume on any connected device as well as stream different music to different speakers from the same device.

Wireless music streaming allows for immediate access to featured music streaming app services such as; Spotify and AllPlay Radio, Internet radio or music from a user’s own library. Utilising WiFi also ensures better sound, longer range and reduction in audio drop-outs.

“Australians shouldn’t have to pay a lot to enjoy the music they love, or be restricted by closed audio ecosystems. The inclusion of Qualcomm AllPlay and certified access to streaming services such as Spotify, means the SPK-WFQ10 speaker delivers the most affordable and versatile home entertainment experience today,” says Chris Lau, Managing Director of LASER.

Key specifications include:

  • Dual band 5GHz/2.4GHz WiFi
  • 2.0 Channel Stereo
  • 20W Power Output

  • Qualcomm AllPlay
