Intel® Extreme Masters Sydney Sells Out, Fastest Selling Australian Esports Mega-Event
Today ESL revealed that tickets to Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM) Sydney 2023 have sold out, making the tournament the fastest-selling Australian esports mega-event in history. The response comes more than four years after the last IEM Sydney took place, and exemplifies the rising demand for live S-tier international esports tournaments in the country.
“Selling out less than a week after releasing our final ticketing wave, more than 3 months from the tournament, is a proud reflection on the passion of our local Counter-Strike fans, and the strength of the ESL Pro Tour ecosystem.” said Ben Green, Head of Product at ESL FACEIT Group Australia. “Our team are now focused on delivering an unforgettable experience for our fans, and look forward to seeing the Counter-Strike community come together for a seriously Big Reunion.”
IEM Sydney 2023 will happen in connection with SXSW Sydney 2023 across October 16-22, with the live Playoffs hosted in the Aware Super Theatre across October 20-22.
