Heroes from Valkyria Chronicles Deployed in World of Tanks Blitz

Iconic tanks from SEGA’s critically-acclaimed title make their battlefield debut

September 19, 2016 — World of Tanks Blitz is bracing itself for champions from another world. The heroes from the hit tactical RPG Valkyria Chronicles, developed and published by SEGA, have left Europa behind but brought the Edelweiss and Nameless tanks with them to test their mettle against World of Tanks Blitz vehicles.

The famed Edelweiss and Nameless tanks from Valkyria Chronicles are here to shake things up. Both sitting at Tier 7, these two vehicles are like nothing you have ever seen in World of Tanks Blitz. The Edelweiss is a medium tank that was designed by the late Professor Theimer. It played a key role in securing victory in the 1935 war in the first Valkyria Chronicles game. With the Edelweiss’s mobility and swift speed—not to mention its similarities to the T20—it’s a vehicle that is best used with some heavy friends in tow.

The Nameless Tank is a heavy vehicle used by Squad 422 in Valkyria Chronicles 3 and loves diving right into the heart of battle. Its solid frontal armour, good alpha damage and maneuverability means that Nameless can make a name for itself by jumping into close combat.

“We’re so proud to work with such a famous company in the gaming industry,” said Ozan Kocoglu, General Manager APAC at Wargaming. “SEGA is an iconic company and Valkyria Chronicles is a legendary title. Being able to unite both through a passion for tanks, while bringing unique content to our players, is what we are all about.”

“We’re so excited to bring the world of Valkyria Chronicles to World of Tanks Blitz,” said Takeshi Ozawa, Game Director of Valkyria Chronicles. “World of Tanks Blitz is the game which firmly conquered its niche in the mobile market. It is a hit with the players, and this is a great opportunity for us to unite both titles. We hope that players will like it.”

Now is your chance to see what all the fuss is about because the Edelweiss and Nameless are on sale right now for two weeks only.
