Epson launches new, more efficient and productive WorkForce Pro range

Printers deliver up to 62%1 lower running costs and up to 96%2 energy savings
SYDNEY, 24 April 2018 – Building on the success of its original WorkForce Pro printer range, Epson Australia has launched two new business inkjet devices – the WF-C5290 and the WF-C5790. The two innovative new printers provide solutions for small workgroups that require hassle-free, low-maintenance and productivity-boosting printing. The versatile devices have been specifically designed to suit a range of vertical markets from schools to small business, to retail, motor vehicle, fitness and healthcare providers.

The new WorkForce Pro models will help companies keep costs down considerably when compared to laser printers, providing savings of at least 62%1 on cost per colour pages and a significantly lower total cost of ownership1.

Demonstrating Epson’s ongoing commitment to cut the environmental impact of printing, the new WorkForce Pro models are also low-power units that use fewer supplies and 96%2 less energy than comparable laser models2 – reducing environmental impact without compromising on output.

In addition, the new printers increase productivity with their capability for fast printing and high ink yield, along with the largest paper capacity in this segment. Users can print up to 10,000 pages in monochrome or 5,000 in colour without needing to change supplies3. The printers offer a zero second warm-up time, and a fast First Page Out Time (FPOT) of less than seven seconds from sleep mode, meaning a printout is usually delivered by the time a user has got up from their workstation to collect it.
Best-in-class (4800 x 1200 dpi) colour print quality will ensure sales and marketing material has impact and stands out from the rest, and can provide a winning edge in what is an increasingly competitive market. Combine this outstanding print quality, with the ability to print banners up to almost 4 feet long4, and many small businesses will now have the ability to print eye-catching, customer-attracting posters at their fingertips.
General Manager – Sales and Marketing for Epson Australia’s Business Division Craig Heckenberg said, “These new WorkForce Pro printers take efficiency, productivity and cost savings to new levels. They are ideal for small businesses and companies who may have traditionally used laser printers and now want to cut costs, increase productivity, reduce downtime and be kinder to the environment.”

These clever new models from Epson build on technology from the original WorkForce series, which has won several accolades including the Golden Bridge ‘Innovations in Technology’ Award and recognition in the 2017 Good Design Awards.

The WorkForce Pro range includes some of the company’s best technological inkjet printer advancements, offering improved performance and an innovative new ink supply system. With a bigger paper tray, and a pre-set feature that automates daily scan, copy, fax and email processes, the series increases user experience, efficiency and productivity.

Built especially for business the printers also provide a platform to keep a mobile workforce on the move by supporting Wi-Fi, WiFi-Direct, Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint, as well as the Epson-connect app.

Software such as Email Print for Enterprise, Epson Print Admin, Document Capture Pro and Epson Device Admin means these new models are now so much more than just print and scan.

Epson’s Open Platform architecture, and its work with independent software vendors (ISVs), adds extra value by supporting cost recovery and follow-me solutions such as PaperCut print management software.

The WorkForce Pro WF-C5290 (RRP $299.00 inc. GST) and the WF-C5790 (RRP $499.00 inc. GST) are available now from selected Epson resellers across Australia.
