EB Expo returns with a bang in 2015: Major Publishers & ‘The Umbilical Brothers’ join the line-up

The creators of Australia’s leading video games event EB Expo are excited to announce its return in 2015, continuing its reputation for showcasing unreleased games and bringing all-new additions to the experience. Sydney Showground remains the premiere location of choice from October 2 – 4. Tickets go on sale from 9am AEDT on April 16 and will be available to purchase from EBExpo.com.au, EB Games stores and through oztix.com.au.

On the back of some huge announcements in the gaming industry this week, including the Halo 5: Guardians release date, EB Expo will be bringing the hottest games to the Australian public yet again. Gamers will be spoiled for choice on the massive 15,000 square metre show floor.

World-class and emerging publishers have confirmed their attendance at this year’s Expo to unveil the latest and unreleased next-gen content to the Australian public. Attendees can play and experience never-before-seen titles from PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, Activision, Bethesda, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and so much more.

“EB Expo continues to set the standards by celebrating the video game industry and embracing pop culture. We’re boasting the most unreleased games of any exhibition in Australia this year,” said EB Games Marketing and Events Director Debra McGrath.

There are more massive gaming announcements to come, following E3 in June.

Australian comedy legends ‘The Umbilical Brothers’ are bringing their A-game to EB Expo in 2015. The duo will be entertaining attendees across the weekend with exciting elements from their new show as well as their classic sketches.
The Zing Pop Culture Zone will feature the Zing Mega Store with 1000s of specialty and hard-to-find products from your favourite movies, TV shows, and comics. Plus the Zone will feature the Operation Awesome pop culture mash-up stage show from Russall S. Beattie, live shows from John Robertson, cosplay competitions and SydBrick’s incredible block-tastic exhibition.

“Every year the EB Expo team will continue to add fresh new elements to the mix and we’re really looking forward to wow-ing our existing and new crowds with original content.

“The mammoth weekend will continue to be all about bringing gamers as close to the action as possible,” said McGrath.

Following last year’s sold-out Family Day on Sunday, there are great value discounted tickets for families and groups to attend during the school holidays. New to this year’s Family Day is Adventure Time live on stage and Buck the EB Bunny’s Amusement Sideshow rides. Families can wrap up every night of the Expo with the iconic Fireworks show.

“More than ever, EB Expo truly has something for every type of gamer and beyond this year,” said McGrath.

The EB Expo website is now live. Further information regarding additional attractions and live shows, entry ticket options and The Umbilical Brothers and Amusement Sideshow add-on tickets can be accessed by visiting www.ebexpo.com.au. Tickets go on sale April 16, 2015.
