Borderline Announce 2026 Tour Dates

Following on from announcing that their highly-anticipated debut album will be released on June 26th, plus picking up three nominations in the upcoming Aotearoa Music Awards, New Zealand buzz band Borderline today announce their 2026 album tour, taking in eight dates across New Zealand and Australia this July.

Kicking off in their hometown of Auckland on July 3rd, the breakthrough act will then head to Hamilton, Christchurch, Tauranga and Rotorua, before crossing the Tasman to play Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Borderline’s tour will let fans experience their debut self-titled album live in all its glory.

“We are beyond excited to take the album out on the road,” said Borderline. “Ever since we first wrote these songs we’ve been imagining playing them live, and really can’t wait for people to experience it in person. There’s so many fun moments in the show that we hope people will love, and we’re really happy to be touring it for the first time at home here in New Zealand and then over to Australia – it feels very special to us.”

Having just touched down back in Aotearoa after winning fans across North America on a 14-date tour of the US and Canada, the album tour announcement comes hot on the heels of the band’s recent nominations for Best Pop Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Radio Airplay Record of the Year at the Aotearoa Music Awards. Borderline are finalists in the Best Pop Artist category alongside global superstars Lorde and Benee – not bad company for the band’s first nomination!

ABOUT BORDERLINE:

Hailing from Auckland, Borderline is Ben Glanfield [guitar, vocals, keys], Jackson Boswell [drums, vocals], Matthew McFadden [lead guitar], and Max Harries [bass, sax]. With the band’s debut album set to drop on June 26th via EMPIRE, fans can expect to hear a collection of pop, rock and funk, fusing the quartet’s undeniable chemistry to deliver music you can groove to.

“Our self-titled debut album is something we’re all incredibly proud of. It’s the sum of every single corner of musical inspiration from all four of us. Every song has its own character and place for us, shaped through sessions in home studios and late nights, before coming together in Roundhead’s Brick Room, taking advantage of the vintage synths and time piece guitars, as we explored and refined the overarching soundscape for the project.”

Borderline just dropped their latest sneak peek of the album with their new single ‘That Girl’, following on from previous cuts ‘Terrify’, ‘Tainted’ and ‘Watching It Burn’.
