Bitdefender uncovers new Linux ransomware
Bitdefender has completed research and testing on new ransomwares targeting. File-encrypting ransomware Trojans are almost abundant on Windows, and it has only been a matter of time until the arrival of the first piece targeting outside of Windows. Linux, previously considered impenetrable, has now been targeted, dubbed Linux.Encoder.1. This is the first piece of Linux ransomware to successfully infiltrate the system and is extremely similar in behavior to CryptoWall, TorLocker.
