Aqara Launches World’s First Matter-Certified Camera in Australia
Aqara, a global leader in smart home technology, today announced the Australian launch of the Camera Hub G350, the world’s first Matter-certified camera, marking a major step forward in truly connected home security.
Designed for modern households juggling multiple platforms, the G350 brings seamless compatibility across leading ecosystems including Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, eliminating the need to choose between them.
One Camera. Total Home Control.
The Aqara Camera Hub G350 marks an important milestone for Aqara as the world’s first Matter-certified camera. Built to deliver future-ready interoperability, the G350 connects directly to Matter-enabled platforms while offering live view, two-way audio, and alerts within the Matter-enabled ecosystem.
More than just an indoor security camera, the G350 acts as a central smart home hub, combining a Zigbee hub, Matter Controller and Matter bridge in a single device. This allows Aqara accessories and third-party devices to work together effortlessly within one unified system.
Beyond ecosystem connectivity, the G350 delivers powerful indoor monitoring through an advanced dual-lens system that combines a 4K wide-angle camera with a 2.5K telephoto lens. With up to 9× hybrid zoom and a smooth pan-tilt mechanism providing 360° coverage, the camera captures both panoramic views and close-up details throughout the home.
AI-powered automatic tracking keeps people and pets in frame, while on-device intelligence detects meaningful events and sounds to ensure users receive alerts that truly matter. Designed with privacy in mind, the G350 also includes encrypted cloud storage options, local recording support, and a physical lens-shield mechanism.
Privacy that’s Built In. Not Bolted On.
The launch of the G350 reflects Aqara’s commitment to local-first intelligence, privacy-forward design, and deep ecosystem interoperability. By combining always-on visibility with advanced AI detection and flexible storage options, the G350 delivers a professional-grade security experience without locking users into a single platform.
Designed to work seamlessly across Apple Home (including HomeKit Secure Video), Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, the G350 ensures users can manage their home security within the ecosystems they already use and trust.
Privacy and control remain central to the experience. The G350 supports local microSD storage (up to 512GB), NAS backup, and end-to-end encrypted cloud storage via Aqara HomeGuardian. When turned off, the camera lens rotates upward and is physically hidden by the device, providing an additional layer of reassurance that privacy is protected by design, not as an afterthought.
