An Unfunny* Evening with Tim Minchin and His Piano

TIM MINCHIN, The Olivier, Helpmann, AACTA, Logie Award-winning, Grammy and Tony-nominated poly-talent will play a handful of intimate, informal, solo dates in Australia this summer.

Minchin will perform songs drawn from his 2020 studio album, Apart Together, from his musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day, from his TV and film writing, and from his early songwriting days around the turn of the century

The set list will be fluid, the chat unplanned, and the vibe informal. He plans to wear shoes.

This is a rare chance for fans of Minchin and the craft of songwriting.

Performances of An Unfunny Evening with Tim Minchin and his Piano will kick off at The Comedy Theatre in Melbourne in October before visiting Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart in November and Canberra in December. From late January 2024, the show will visit Geelong, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Newcastle before playing the final dates of the run at the end of February in Perth.

Tim last toured nationally in 2019, when he returned to the Australian stage after more than a decade with BACK. The 2019 leg of the tour sold out in record time and received rave reviews from fans, securing Tim the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Australian Contemporary Comedy. Following the overwhelming demand, Tim announced an Encore tour that was initially scheduled for 2020 and eventually played across the country in 2021.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 12 pm on Friday, August 4.

My Live Nation members can be among the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale starting at 10 am on Wednesday, August 2 and running until Friday, August 4, at 10 am.

All times are local.
