Alienware landing at PAX 2014

SYDNEY, Australia, October 22, 2014 – Alienware, the leader in high-powered gaming systems, will be showcasing its new flagship products, the Alienware Alpha next-gen console, the portable powerhouse Alienware 13 laptop and the return of the legendary Area-51 gaming desktop at PAX Australia in Melbourne from Friday, October 31 – Sunday, November 2. Revealing the products for the first time in Australia will be Alienware’s Director of Product Planning, Joe Olmsted.

Joe first joined Alienware in 2003 and has been defining and developing nearly every type of product under the Alienware brand to ensure they meet the high standard of gamers.

Initially revealed at E3 earlier this year, the Alienware Alpha will have its first local public appearance at PAX Australia and will set a new standard for gaming in the living-room.

“For nearly two decades, we’ve continued to innovate to ensure we’re creating the best possible gaming experience. The Alpha is the result of those years of dedication from our team to see our first gaming console become a reality. We’re confident Australians will jump at the opportunity to experience Alienware gaming in a new way,” said Olmsted.

Announced in August, the new Alienware 13 packs all of the performance that gamers expect of an Alienware laptop, housed into a svelte form-factor that sets a new bar for mobile gaming without compromise.

“Our new Alienware 13 is set to revolutionise the PC gaming laptop market and we can’t wait to show it at PAX Australia. With industry leading graphics available on it, Australians are set to experience the most immersive and visually stunning gaming available in a laptop,” continued Olmsted.

First unveiled at PAX Prime in Seattle, the return of the legendary Alienware Area-51 performance gaming desktop is Alienware’s new flagship system, featuring the newest technologies packed into a striking new industrial design that was engineered with purpose and games as good as it looks.

“The Alienware Area-51 ushers in a new era of performance in PC-gaming and we can’t wait to showcase its full capabilities to Australian gamers,” concluded Olmsted.

During PAX, attendees can experience the next level in the PC gaming revolution by testing the Alienware Alpha, Alienware 13 and Alienware Area-51 at Alienware’s booth. Joe Olmsted will also be on hand to discuss plans for the Australian market and why Alienware’s latest invasion sets new standards in gaming experience.
