Acer’s delivers a World First with the New Swift 7

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (November 28, 2016):  Acer today has introduced a world’s first to Australian shores in the form of the new Swift 7. The Swift 7 is an ultra-thin and lightweight notebook PC that features Windows 10 and is the perfect fit for every budget and lifestyle.

Acer Swift 7 – UltraSlim with All-Day Battery Life

The Swift 7 weighs in at just 1.1 kg and measures a mere 9.98 mm thin, making it the world’s first laptop to measure less than 1 cm thin. Its black-and-gold dual tone design brings a touch of elegance to its durable all-aluminium unibody, while tough Corning® Gorilla® Glass adds superior scratch resistance to the 13.3-inch Full HD IPS[1] display with a micro-bezel. With up to 9 hours[2] of battery life, it is the perfect notebook for those on the go.

“We are thrilled that the Swift 7 is now available in Australia because this is a device that caters to the needs and wants of many. While the all-aluminium chassis is less than one centimetre thin, the Swift 7 does not lack in performance and stamina, offering the perfect solution for those who enjoy not only a full-day of productivity, but also a device that is sleek, easy to carry around and stylish”, said Gaba Cheng, Head of Products at Acer.

Small and speedy, top-of-the-line performance is delivered through a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, fast 256GB SSD and up to 8GB of memory. The latest wireless technology (2×2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO) delivers reliable and up to three times faster[3] connections, while dual USB 3.1 Type-C ports are included for quick data transfer, connection to an external display, and to charge the notebook. An HD webcam with HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging support provides clear, bright and detailed images.

“For years, Intel and Acer’s strong collaboration has resulted in top of the line, tier one products and this is completely evident in the new Swift 7”, said Katherine Nguyen, Head of Marketing, Acer Australia and New Zealand. “The 7th Generation Intel Core processors have set a new bar for performance and efficiency delivering great performance in a beautiful and light package.”

The Swift 7 is the perfect solution for consumers who are looking for a Windows 10 laptop that can adapt to their diverse needs. Whether they are looking for a high-end, performance-driven machine, a solidly-built value-priced device, or something in between, the Swift 7 is designed to bring to life Windows 10 features and can serve both entertainment and productivity purposes.
