MOVA Expands Partnership with Essendon Football Club and Unveils New Premium Z70 Robot Vacuum
MOVA, a global pioneer in premium AI-powered smart living, last night hosted a special event celebrating its co-major sponsorship of the Essendon Football Club AFLW team, where it announced AFLW stars Bonnie Toogood and Georgia Nanscawen as its newest brand ambassadors. MOVA’s significant investment in Essendon’s AFLW program follows its existing major sponsorship of its AFL program and a growing ambassador team that includes AFL players Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish. The event also saw a demonstration of MOVA’s new premium Z70 Ultra Roller robot vacuum for the first time in Australia, highlighting the brand’s leadership in premium AI-powered smart living.
Hosted at the NEC Hangar, headquarters of Essendon Football Club, the event brought together MOVA Australia’s leadership team with Essendon’s AFLW program, where Toogood and Nanscawen presented MOVA with a personalised Bombers guernsey before becoming the first in Australia to experience demonstrations of the company’s most advanced intelligent home robotics range.
Following the announcement of MOVA as Essendon’s Official Home Cleaning Appliance, Outdoor Lawnmowing and Personal Care Products Partner earlier this year, the relationship has continued to grow, with MOVA now serving as Co-Major Partner of the Club’s AFLW program for the upcoming season.
The appointments complete MOVA’s ambassador team across Essendon’s elite football programs, bringing together AFL players Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish alongside AFLW players Bonnie Toogood (Captain) and Georgia Nanscawen.
The expanded partnership comes at an exciting time for women’s football in Australia, with the 18 AFL clubs now attracting more than one million fans through the gates as its players inspire record participation in girls’ football nationwide. It’s a growth story that MOVA is embracing as Co-Major Partner of Essendon’s AFLW program, and its belief that elite performance deserves equal recognition across both men’s and women’s football.
One of the AFLW’s biggest stars, Bonnie Toogood has become synonymous with Essendon’s AFLW program as the Club’s inaugural captain. A multiple AFLW All-Australian and club best and fairest winner, Toogood is widely regarded as one of the competition’s premier leaders on and off the field.
Joining Toogood as a MOVA ambassador is Georgia Nanscawen, whose inspiring return to elite football following an ACL injury culminated in winning the 2024 AFLW Best and Fairest Award. A dual elite athlete who has also represented Australia in hockey, including the Olympic Games as a member of the Hockeyroos for London 2012, Nanscawen is admired throughout Australian sport for her resilience, professionalism and determination.
Since entering Australia, MOVA has rapidly expanded its portfolio of intelligent home robotics and personal care products. As the company continues to invest in Australian retail expansion and product development, its partnership with Essendon Football Club has become an important platform for introducing the MOVA brand to Australian households. While inspired by elite sport, MOVA’s technology is ultimately designed to make everyday life easier for Australian households through intelligent, time-saving solutions.
Nancy Zhang, MOVA Country Manager, ANZ, said the launch of the Z70 alongside the expanded Essendon partnership represented a significant milestone in MOVA’s Australian growth.
“Today is an exciting milestone for MOVA because it brings together our biggest product launch in Australia to date with the continued growth of our partnership with Essendon Football Club. What attracted us to Essendon wasn’t simply the opportunity to sponsor a football club. We saw an organisation committed to high-performance, leadership and pursuit of excellence. Those are exactly the same principles that drive our teams as we develop the next generation of intelligent home robotics,” said Ms Zhang.
“We were incredibly proud to welcome Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish as our first Australian brand ambassadors, and today we’re equally excited to welcome Bonnie Toogood and Georgia Nanscawen to the MOVA family. Together, they represent the very best of Essendon Football Club and demonstrate our commitment to recognising excellence equally across both our AFL and AFLW partnerships.”
“Just as Essendon continually invests in elite coaching, sports science, performance analysis, technology and high-performance environments to give its athletes every competitive advantage,
every MOVA product is the result of extensive research, engineering and testing to deliver smarter performance for consumers. In many ways, that’s no different to the way elite sporting organisations prepare their athletes. Both are driven by a relentless pursuit of precision and performance.”
Toogood expressed her pride at partnering with MOVA.
“I’m proud to partner with a company that’s making such a genuine investment in women’s football. Seeing MOVA support our AFLW program alongside the AFL team sends a really positive message about where the game is heading and shows they value elite athletes equally.”
Nanscawen said MOVA had quickly become part of her weekly routine.
“Training, recovery and preparation don’t leave a lot of spare time, so it’s great having technology that genuinely helps around the house, Nanscawen said.
“It’s fantastic to represent a brand that’s investing in women’s sport at such an exciting time for the AFLW. Partnerships like this help our competition continue to grow while recognising the professionalism and commitment of female athletes.”
Reflecting the same commitment to continual improvement, MOVA also used the event to unveil its latest premium roller-mopping robot vacuum, the Z70 Ultra Roller, reinforcing how the partnership extends beyond elite sport into intelligent solutions designed for everyday living.
The MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller robot vacuum is designed to deliver consistent, high-performance cleaning across the whole home. Combining continuous fresh-water roller mopping through HydroForce technology, 36,000Pa suction, intelligent carpet protection, obstacle crossing and self-maintenance, the Z70 Ultra Roller is engineered to overcome some of the most common frustrations of robotic cleaning – dirty mop drag, missed spots, wet carpets, thresholds and ongoing upkeep.
For busy professional athletes whose lives revolve around training, competition and recovery, intelligent home robotics provide incredible time and convenience. By automating one of the most time-consuming household tasks, the MOVA Z70 allows athletes and families alike to spend less time cleaning and more time focusing on performance, recovery and the people who matter most.
