Summary: Razer Rogue Backpack V4 is indeed Built for Battle and Ready for the Grind!

Backpack +10
Razer’s new Rogue Backpack V4 is a noticeable design shift from their previous “gamer packs” with its new aesthetics that features a clean, matte-black exterior with subtle green stitching and faux leather-effect accents that fit in just as well at a corporate office or an airport gate as they do at a gaming setup. To further lean into this clean look while keeping its gaming roots, Razer has also added a customizable Velcro front panel, allowing you to slap on your own esports or custom patches if you want to personalize your loadout.
Besides its cool exterior that would not look out of place in the latest Bond game, 007 First Light because of its style, the primary focus here is pure utility, specifically targeting creators and gamers who need to haul heavy, oversized laptops and a collection of accessories without straining their backs.
Also to accommodate different tech setups (not just owners of Blades), Razer has split the backpack into two specific sizes tailored to your hardware and travelling habits:
| Model | Laptop Size | Layout | AU Price (MSRP) |
| Razer Rogue 16” V4 | Up to 16-inch laptops (like the Blade 16) | Streamlined design for daily commutes | $169.95 AUD |
| Razer Rogue 18” V4 | Up to 18-inch laptops (like the Blade 18) | 3 large main compartments for multi-day travel | $229.95 AUD |

Once unleashed from its plastic protective cover +1, the overall build quality feels incredibly sturdy courtesy of its thick, tear-resistant recycled 600D fabric and coated, water-resistant zippers which gives you immediate peace of mind when carrying expensive tech through an unpredictable downpour.
However, the biggest upgrade, how the Rogue V4 handles weight as Razer completely overhauled the harness system with wider thicker shoulder straps and a crucial chest strap which makes a huge difference to weight distribution. Having used this backpack to a trip from Melbourne to Sydney with way too much gear, the weight is evenly distributed and more importantly, not targeting your lower back. No sore back or sore shoulders here.

And the inside? It’s like a Tardis or the Tower of Fate with all its space available that is also very well organised. There is a heavily padded shock-absorbing sleeve to protect chunkier laptops, along with a clever internal headphone strap that lets you clip your headset directly to the bag’s frame, allowing you to leave bulky hard-shell cases at home and save a ton of internal space.
For added security, a zipped pocket is hidden completely flat against your lower back, keeping your passport, wallet or phone entirely safe from pickpockets while you are wearing the pack. Need to charge on the go? The Rogue Backpack V4 comes with an integrated cable passthrough which makes it easier to keep your devices powered. Further, travellers will appreciate the heavy mesh padding on the back panel which creates a genuine air gap so that it’s not sticking to your clothes plus there is also a built-in trolley sleeve to secure the backpack to rolling luggage.
Final Thoughts
The Razer Rogue V4 feels like a backpack straight from Q’s lab at MI6 with its thoughtful design features and sturdy exterior that more importantly protects your valuable tech and items inside. Although it comes at a premium price, it is also a premium backpack and well worth the entry price.
