About the Show
Amplified traces the rise of Chrissy Amphlett, the audacious frontwoman of Divinyls, from the sticky carpets of suburban pubs to the top of the international charts. - Fronting a raucous four-piece band led by musical director Glenn Moorhouse (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), acclaimed performer Sheridan Harbridge (Prima Facie) captures the raw talent, rock ’n’ roll rasp, and fearless vulnerability that reshaped the landscape of Australian music.
- From Vision to Stage
The production, directed by Sarah Goodes, honors one of Australia’s most influential artists. The show draws inspiration from a one-woman production Chrissy had been developing herself before her passing, realized here by her husband and close friends to bring that vision to life.
