ED SHEERAN announces special guests for summer stadium shows: VANCE JOY, MIA WRAY, BIIRD + AARON ROWE

The countdown is on for Ed Sheeran’s return to Australia and New Zealand next summer, and with hundreds of thousands of tickets already sold for the chart-topper’s Loop Tour, fans don’t want to miss these shows!

With over 3.1 million tickets now sold down under in his career to date, Sheeran returns with a spectacular new live production, following on from his brand new album, Play. Joining him on the road are four extraordinary artists – drum roll please:

VANCE JOY (all shows AU/NZ)

Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy broke through in 2013 with his ukulele-led charm on ‘Riptide’, an instant global hit, taking him from open mic nights in Melbourne to the world’s biggest stages. Since then, he has released three studio albums brimming with songs that have become the soundtrack to people’s lives, etched into memory by way of his unique blend of intimate and anthemic songwriting. Vance Joy has sold out arenas around the world, festival appearances from Coachella to Lollapalooza and supported the likes of Taylor Swift and P!NK. With a setlist full of Platinum singles including ‘Mess Is Mine’, ‘Fire and the Flood’, ‘Saturday Sun’, and ‘Missing Piece’. Recently sharing his first new music since 2022, the double A-side tracks ‘Divine Feelings’ and ‘Fascination in the Dark’, and more new music on the horizon, Vance Joy is coming home.

‘I feel very fortunate to be getting to open for Ed around Australia and New Zealand. He is a legendary artist. I am inspired by his songwriting and by his ability to hold any crowd no matter the size in the palm of his hand, and just by the way he goes about it all. It’s going to be a great run and I’m excited to get to play a part in it! What a pleasure!’ – Vance Joy

MIA WRAY (all shows AU/NZ)

Melbourne’s Mia Wray has emerged as one of Australia’s most commanding new voices – powerful, soulful, and heartbreakingly direct. In 2025, her debut album hi, it’s nice to meet me earned an ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award and was shortlisted for this year’s Australian Music Prize (AMP). It introduced a songwriter unafraid to bare her soul, packed with anthems like ‘Not Enough’ and ‘Only Love’, which drew praise from triple j, BBC Radio 1, Nova and Hit networks and superstar Elton John. Wray has toured her formidable live show across Australia, the UK and Europe, sharing stages with artists such as Maisie Peters, Spacey Jane, DMA’S and Vance Joy. Wray recently collaborated with English artist Gabrielle Aplin on the album track ‘Ghost in My Machine’. With streaming numbers climbing past 50 million and her live shows selling out on both sides of the globe, Mia Wray’s confessional pop is equal parts catharsis and celebration – the sound of someone claiming her space, loud and clear.

‘I saw Ed Sheeran play in Brisbane 2013 and it blew my mind. The first cover I ever uploaded to YouTube was ‘A Team’, so it’s such a huge honour to be asked to support him, I can’t bloody wait’ – Mia Wray

BIIRD (NZ + Perth)

All-female Irish trad supergroup BIIRD are breathing wild new life into the country’s oldest sounds, as heard on ‘The Rollover’. Formed in 2024, the collective have taken the spirit of the pub session to global stages, their explosive live energy earning them a cult following before even releasing a note. After a standout debut on legendary Irish chat show TheLate Late Show which resulted in a sold-out Irish and UK tour – including a main-stage set at festival All Together Now in front of 15,000 fans – BIIRD are all set for a 2026 world tour. A celebration of tradition and reinvention, BIIRD fuse fiddle, harp, concertina and synth into something fearless and new – a sound in full, electrifying flight.

Aaron Rowe (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne + Adelaide)

From playing pubs in Dublin to sharing stages across the world with Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender and Dermot Kennedy, Aaron Rowe’s rise feels like fate. The Irish singer’s debut single ‘Hey Ma’ – a tender love letter to home – went viral before release back in May, praised for its raw emotion and lived-in storytelling. A generational voice, Rowe’s songs balance heartbreak with hope. Echoing influences from Sam Cooke to Damien Rice, he’s fast becoming one of Ireland’s most affecting new exports. Honest, unguarded, and deeply empathetic, Aaron Rowe is the rare artist who doesn’t just sing his truth – he lives it.
