TITANIQUE SETS SAIL – FINAL BOARDING CALL FOR SYDNEY’S HIT CÉLINE DION PARODY

After more than 300 Céline-belting, wig-snatching, laugh-out-loud performances, TITANIQUE is preparing to leave the dock one last time. This June, the outrageous and award-winning musical parody will unberth from Sydney’s The Grand Electric, sailing off into the sunset—never to return to Australian shores (unless, of course, an iceberg demands an encore).

A gloriously camp, spectacularly unhinged send-up of James Cameron’s cinematic juggernaut, the Olivier Award winning musical TITANIQUE rewrites the tragic tale of Jack and Rose, putting none other than the Queen of Power Ballads herself—Céline Dion—at the helm. With Céline’s iconic pipes and spicy hot takes guiding the journey, this comedy cruise reimagines the world’s most epic romance/disaster flick into a night of pure, unfiltered theatrical joy.

Since premiering exclusively in Sydney, TITANIQUE became one of the hottest tickets in town faster than you can say “I’m the King of the World!” But unlike Céline’s eternal ballad, this show will not go on. It’s your final chance to watch this cult musical phenomenon before it departs forever.

Producer Michael Cassel said: “Bringing TITANIQUE to Sydney has been an unsinkable joy. We’ve laughed until we cried, Céline’d until our vocal cords gave out, and rode every comedic wave this show had to offer. The Sydney audience didn’t just come aboard—they clung to the bow and screamed into the wind. I couldn’t be prouder of the extraordinary cast and crew who kept the heart of the ocean beating strong.”

TITANIQUE has been adored by audiences and celebrities alike, including Leigh Sales, Liz HayesLisa WilkinsonCeleste BarberJoJo SiwaAmy SharkCody Simpson and drag royalty like AlaskaWillamDetoxCourtney Act and Hannah Conda.

As one punter raved, “Don’t miss this! I laughed so hard I needed my Ventolin,” while another fan called it “the most hilarious and bonkers show I’ve ever seen!”

Nova’s Joel Creasey said: “Honestly, I can’t rave hard enough. We laughed so hard we tipped our table of glasses over.”

Actor and model Cameron Robbie said: “Incredible, hilarious! I just laughed for 90 minutes straight.”

The cast is led by the iconique Marney McQueen as Céline Dion, with Georgina Hopson as Rose Dewitt-Bukater, Drew Weston as Jack Dawson, and a standout ensemble featuring Keane Sheppard-FletcherMatt LeeStephen AndersonAbigail Dixon and Abu (as both The Seaman and The Iceberg—yes, really). The onstage lineup is rounded out by Jo-Anne JacksonJenni Little and Trent Owers on backing vocals, with Artemis AlfonzettiMatthew Predny and Tyran Stig joining for the final voyage.

Supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSWTITANIQUE is Sydney’s exclusive Australian berth. Co-written by Marla MindelleConstantine Rousouli and Tye Blue, the show premiered off-Broadway in 2022 and has since conquered stages in Toronto, Montreal, Chicago and London, where the show won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play.

TITANIQUE ends its exclusive Sydney season this June. Near, far, wherever you are, get your tickets before the ship sails.

A smash hit live-streamed concert – TITANIQUE: The Maiden Voyage Concert – on the premium streaming service Stellar, on 2 May 2021, which followed sold-out pop-up concert engagements in Los Angeles and New York, earning the show a 2019 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Award. TITANIQUE won seven major awards of the 2022-23 theatre season, including three Lucille Lortel Awards (Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Lead Performer: Marla Mindelle, Outstanding Costume Design: Alejo Vietti), the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical, Las Culturistas’ Culture Award for Best Indoor Performance, and two Dorian Awards (Outstanding Off-Broadway Production, Outstanding Off-Broadway Performance: Marla Mindelle).
