Yuzo Koshiro and Tee Lopes Team up for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Soundtrack!

SEGA has announced that the soundtrack for their upcoming 2D action platformer SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance will be scored by none other than legendary gaming composers Tiago “Tee” Lopes (Sonic ManiaStreets of Rage4) and Yuzo Koshiro (The Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Shenmue).

About Tiago “Tee” Lopes

Tiago “Tee” Lopes is a Portuguese-American gaming composer, arranger, producer and sound designer. Lopes first gained attention for creating Sonic the Hedgehog remixes on YouTube before landing a role as the lead composer for Sonic Mania™ in 2017. Other credits include Streets of Rage™4, Sonic Origins™, Sonic Superstars™, Team Sonic Racing™, Sonic Frontiers™ and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge™.

About Yuzo Koshiro

Yuzo Koshiro is a Japanese video game composer and sound programmer. Koshiro-san started his career in the early 80s and soon became one of the pioneering figures in chiptune and video game music, composing legendary soundtracks for titles such as Streets of Rage™, Etrian Odyssey™ and Shenmue™. Koshiro was the lead composer on 1989’s The Revenge of Shinobi™ and will now be returning to the series with SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance™.

Created in collaboration with Lizardcube, the studio behind the acclaimed Streets of Rage 4, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance follows longtime series protagonist and master of the ninja arts, Joe Musashi, who arrives home from a previous adventure to find his village burned to the ground and his clan turned into stone. Driven by vengeance, Joe sets off on an epic quest, battling hordes of enemies and larger-than-life bosses across stunning hand-drawn worlds. Rife with multiple paths to discover or unlock and packed with smooth, satisfying gameplay, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance will have players attacking and reacting on the move— and keep them coming back for more.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance launches on the 29th of August 2025, is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch right now and includes the Original Arcade Outfit, inspired by Joe’s debut appearance in arcades, and Fortune Hunter Amulet, granting additional gold in combat.
