In the future the number one game show is called CANCELLED where armed mercenaries compete to carry out death sentences on people who transgress societal norms rather than just cancelling them on social media.
Oh come on! This is sub-Frank Miller style garbage! Normally I don’t like to single out a particular comic or story but this has been done before with A Most Dangerous Game or the Running Man or many other stories and been done better. What are you doing here that is new at all? Is the artwork alone enough to make it stand out even if the story is not so great?
No and no. Even the Frank Miller book Hard Boiled had some eye-popping art in more ways that one that helped it stand out. This seems like it might be able to start to be interesting eventually but I would not really be that interested in continuing from what I see here.
I am not tired of reading comics but I am tired of this type of story and I do like Kung Fu movies and action films non ironically. This is not it and I recommend you have a serious look before committing to buying this.
