Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo: A Hypercar Sculpted by Wind and Intelligence
As a continuation of its collaboration with Gran Turismo 7 and Polyphony Digital Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Xiaomi has unveiled its first hypercar for the renowned racing simulation platform. Following an invitation from Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of the Gran Turismo series, Xiaomi joins the Vision Gran Turismo project, becoming the first technology brand to contribute to this elite virtual collection of dream cars crafted by the world’s most visionary automakers.
Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is a concept electric hypercar sculpted by the wind. Its teardrop-shaped cockpit is embedded within a body sculpted with cutouts and airducts, forming aerodynamic channels throughout the vehicle. The signature halo-shaped taillight serves as both a visual icon and a massive air outlet. Together with innovations like the Active Wake Control System and Accretion Rims, the car achieves a drag coefficient of 0.29, downforce of -1.2, and an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1 through iterative simulated testing, reaching new heights in balancing low drag and high downforce for electric hypercars.
