Xbox ANZ catapults Age of Empires IV into the real world with knights going head-to-head in medieval battle

The global Age of Empires community doesn’t have long to wait for the franchise’s next chapter! To celebrate the much-anticipated launch of Age of Empires IV, Xbox ANZ will catapult gamers back in time to witness action-filled, medieval cage fights for one ‘knight’ only.

Rooted in historical traditions, knights will set out to wage war and engage in numerous battle rounds to see who has the skill and strength to win the Ultimate Cage Knight. Ultimate Cage Knight will feature professionally trained and armored athletes of different ages and backgrounds – many taking this on as a second profession – ready to battle it out to see who reigns supreme on the battlefield.

Hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Steven Bradbury, and Paralympic Medalist Karni Liddel, the winner will walk away with a championship title, a one-of-a-kind Age of Empires IV Championship Belt – and one lucky viewer from ANZ could also win a Lenovo Legion 7i Gaming Laptop (Intel Core i7 11th Gen, NVIDIA RTX 3070 – RRP : $3,144.00 AUD) and other great prizes. Tune into the stream at 8pm AEDT, 28th October across Xbox ANZ’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch to catch the action!

Age of Empires IV is launching on October 29 with Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft Store, and Steam. Featuring both familiar and innovative new ways to expand your empire in vast landscapes with stunning 4K visual fidelity, Age of Empires IV brings an evolved real-time strategy game to a new generation.
