ANIMAL KINGDOM

If you haven’t seen ANIMAL KINGDOM yet, the question is… why not?! Rave reviews both here and overseas, big awards and even Oscar buzz surrounding Jacki Weaver’s iconic turn as ‘Smurf’ ANIMAL KINGDOM is a tense, thrilling, beautifully acted and assuredly directed masterwork – and it’s something Aussies should be very proud of.

Following the death of his mother, seventeen year-old Joshua ‘J’ Cody moves in with his hitherto-estranged family, under the watchful eye of his doting grandmother, Janine ‘Smurf’ Cody, and her three criminal sons – the Cody boys. Eldest son and armed robber, Andrew ‘Pope’ Cody is in hiding from a gang of renegade detectives. Middle brother Craig is a successful but volatile drug dealer, whilst the youngest Cody, Darren, naïvely follows his elder brothers’ lead. OFFSPRING

Following on from its successful screenings on Channel 10, OFFSPRING will be released on DVD just in time for Christmas! The luminous Asher Keddie stars as Nina Proudman,  a woman with one simple quest: to cope with her life. Standing in the way of her desired bliss is her fabulously messy family, her ex-husband, the intensity of a job delivering babies, and the hunt for a decent love life. Another hindrance is her tendency to over-think, fantasise, and wonder about life’s other little mysteries…

MATTHEW HAYDEN’S HOME GROUND

Matthew Hayden is a lot of different things: an Australian sporting legend; an avid cook; a father and husband; a devoted eco warrior. After retiring from professional cricket in 2009, Matthew Hayden decided to take a ‘farm change’; he moved back to his hometown in the country with his family, where he hoped to teach his children about the importance of loving the environment and knowing where their food comes from.

Filmed across six episodes, we join Hayden in this unique and intimate series, which goes beyond growing produce, cooking and interviews, and develops into a story about a world-class cricketer choosing a new life… the country life.
