Lenovo launches rebranded Iomega solutions across ANZ

LenovoEMC products now available through local Australian distributors  

Sydney, Australia – 12 June, 2013: Lenovo today announced the availability of the LenovoEMC portfolio of Network Attached Storage products through Lenovo channel partners and direct from Lenovo in Australia. This announcement marks the full integration of LenovoEMC products into Lenovo’s leading channel partner program with the entire Iomega product range to be rebranded to LenovoEMC.

“The partnership brings together legendary Lenovo reliability and ease-of-use, as well as a reputation of EMC for scale and reliability. Users will now have a one stop shop for servers and network attached storage that are quality driven, simple to set up and easily integrated into a varied environment,” said Matt Codrington, Managing Director of Lenovo ANZ.

The EZ Media and ix Series Desktop line will now carry the Lenovo Iomega brand, while the px Series Desktop and px Series rack mount families, with additional enterprise-level capabilities, are now branded as LenovoEMC products.

LenovoEMC products provide a range of enterprise-level capabilities including  volume encryption, antivirus software, a range of surveillance features, the award winning EMC Lifeline Operating System, and integrated virtualisation technology.

The LenovoEMC joint venture was finalised on January 3, 2013. In addition to the joint venture, the global strategic partnership between Lenovo and EMC Corporation encompasses an x86 server technology development program, as well as an OEM and reseller relationship for EMC’s storage solutions.
