There’s resolutions – the type we commit to at the commencement of each new year, and then there’s ‘resolution’ – which is what you look for in a quality home entertainment projector. BenQ, the number 2 projector brand worldwide and a trusted name in home entertainment projection, are pleased to announce the launch of two new Full-HD projectors – the W1070 and the highly acclaimed W1080ST.
BenQ’s W1080ST is the first 3D, Full-HD short-throw video projector to be released anywhere in the world, and will be available in Australia in late January 2013. The W1070 is the brand’s first home entertainment model offering Full-HD 3D viewing for under $1000, and it too will be available in January.

Said Chee F. Chung, general manager for BenQ Australia, “The W1080ST home entertainment projector is an exciting release for us because it is a unique offering, packed with desirable features and showcasing full-HD content in sharp 1080p definition. Due to it being a short throw projector, it can adapt to any room’s layout, size and ambient light levels.
“It’s the world’s first Full-HD short throw home entertainment projector, creating a 65” image when positioned at a distance of just one metre, preventing image obstruction and shadows on the screen which is particularly important when engaging in motion sensing games,” said Chung.
“Likewise, the W1070 is a quality home entertainment projector offering great bang for your buck – it’s our first fully featured 3D Full-HD projector with a retail price of less than $1000 and in this price category it is unrivalled. We expect both projectors to perform very strongly for us in 2013,” she continued.
