Finnish game studio LudoCraft is proud to publish the first game that really challenges you to listen to and follow the rhythm of music. RoboFonics is out on iPhone and Android. It has 80 levels, a fun storyline and two game modes: tap and puzzle.
–The touch screen makes you part of the game. When you feel the beat, you become the rhythm. Let the flow of music brighten your day, says LudoCraft Creative Director Tomi Thurlin.
The game is fun and challenging, yet easy to grasp. Cute, fun-loving robots are working hard at the Fonic Factory. The player joins the assembly line, listens to the beat, and gives the robots the right rhythm by tapping. The trick is to help the robots complete their job without overloading them. Each robot has its own special characteristics – pick your favorite!
— RoboFonics is a game for all ages, and not just gamers. Rhythm lives in us. Think of tribal cultures, of the power of rhythm in tribal societies, Tomi Thurlin points out.
RoboFonics has already inspired some positive tunes. The earlier PC demo of the game was among the finalists in the Intel Make Something Unreal contest at SIGGRAPH in 2009.
— RoboFonics combines a visually enchanting rhythm-based game with puzzle solving. It’s easy to pick up, but the challenge lies in learning to listen and react to the rhythm. It’s a non-violent experience, and most importantly, the robots are cute, says Tomi Thurlin, listing some features of the game.
The inspiration behind RoboFonics comes from the combination of the awesome percussion group Stomp and the brilliantly flowing console title Rez. The soundscape is carefully designed for constant fun. Headphones are recommended for the best gaming experience
