Wargaming Brings On The Fight For Intercontinental World of Tanks eSports Supremacy

November 06, 2015 — The Wargaming.net League (WGL) proudly presents The Pacific Rumble this Saturday, November 07, in Tokyo, Japan.

EL Gaming has emerged as the champions of All You Need Is Battle Season 2 which was recently concluded and will be headed to The Pacific Rumble as the first team from Asia. Joining them in the fiery fray on the battlefield is KONGDOO and collectively they will represent the APAC region. Caren Tiger from host nation Japan will be accompanying EL Gaming and KONGDOO as the wildcard team.

Pitting their skills against the best from APAC are the finest from across the Pacific, WGLNA Season 1 champions Noble eSports. Completing the NA contingent are all-star runners-up, High Woltage Caballers, who had lost only one match in the regular season before succumbing to Noble eSports in the Finals.

The stakes are high for the championship title and a hand in the total prize winnings of $100,000USD, with the winners taking home $45,000USD. Expect mighty teamwork, immense skills, and a show of force from teams on different sides of the world as they engage in a blazing spectacle for battlefield glory.

In a very first for WGL, witness the first Tier X (10) Show Match in Asia featuring EL Gaming and Noble eSports. The new Tier X match format will be implemented from WGL Season 2 forwards in a new exciting direction from Wargaming and the future of its involvement in eSports at the highest levels.

All teams will battle with a 7v7 system, a max total tier of 54 and a top tier limit of VIII (8). The events schedule is as follows:

Tier X Show Match (Best of 8): EL Gaming vs Noble eSports

Match 1 (Best of 8): Caren Tiger vs KONGDOO

Match 2 (Best of 8): EL Gaming vs High Woltage Caballers

Match 3 (Best of 8): Match 1 Winner vs Noble eSports

Final Match (Best of 12): Winner of Match 2 vs Winner of Match 3

The event will be broadcast online in Asia in English, Mandarin, Japanese, and in Korean on the official Twitch channels: ENG / CHN / JPN / KOR. Additionally, viewers in Japan can tune in to NicoNico, while Korean audiences can visit DaumTV. North American viewers can tune in online via Battleviewer.

Entry to The Pacific Rumble will be free to the public with exciting events and opportunities for the most passionate spectators to walk away with exclusive Wargaming premiums. Online viewers will also be treated to on-stream trivia events on official Wargaming Facebook pages where select in-game prizes will be given out.
