Summary: The Zooseum DLC is more Two Point Museum, albeit now with cute animals, and that is no bad thing.

Pawesome!

Two Point Museum’s first DLC, Zooseum, has finally made its way to the Nintendo Switch 2! As you might expect with a name like Zooseum, this DLC adds a whole host of new, living exhibits to your museum.

The core Two Point Museum experience doesn’t really change, however. This is still the same great game it was before (read our review here), only now featuring cute animals. It remains a quirky, colourful, and light management sim that sees the player taking command of a series of museums and building them up to be vast educational institution

In addition to the new exhibits, a new location, Silverbottom Park, has been added. This serves as an introduction to the new content and acts as a tutorial for the new mechanics and exhibition locations.

Additionally, several other enhancements have been made. New staff members in the form of wildlife experts and additional rooms are the most important of these, as they form the backbone of the new zoo gameplay. New features include habitats for animals—large enclosures to keep your newfound furry friends safe and contained—and a welfare station to keep them all healthy and cure any diseases that crop up. There’s also a myriad of new animal-themed items to decorate your museum.

As for the expeditions, they function largely the same as before, only now there’s a new island to explore. Select a location, a crew to man it, and any bonuses or perks that may be available, and off they go.

This DLC doesn’t significantly alter the formula; instead, it subtly enhances it.

Graphically, nothing has changed from the base game; it still looks great on the Switch 2, both in handheld and docked modes. By the same token, performance is exactly as it was, as are Two Point’s trademark audio and dialogue.

Final Thoughts?

Zooseum is a fun little addition to Two Point Museum. It doesn’t do anything especially different from the formula, but then again, it didn’t need to. All the charm and wit of the base game are present here, and if you enjoy that, this is more of it.
