The Witcher 4 will be dethroned? Thorgal and The Night Wanderer announced on a trailer!

Founded in 2022, Mighty Koi Studio aims to prove that “The Witcher” is not the only Polish fantasy story that can conquer the world. The studio holds the rights to two electrifying titles, offering creators vast creative possibilities. “Thorgal” and “The Night Wanderer” will launch on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. The release date is yet TBA. The team bases its productions on the Unreal Engine 5 with proprietary extensions and utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as photogrammetry and AI.

The approach to plans comes with great ambition, announcing two AA+ / AAA projects and engaging experienced experts from the world of gaming and animation – currently, the team consists of over 100 people, and the number is expected to double by the end of the year, with external studios also being involved. Mighty Koi hopes that the upcoming productions will conquer not only the Polish but also the foreign gaming market and, like “The Witcher,” make Polish fantasy literature a world-class product.

About Thorgal
Players will take on the role of the main character and experience many adventures known from the comics, encountering dangerous bandits, formidable monsters, and invincible gods – but also powerful allies.

Thorgal is based on the legendary comic series by Grzegorz Rosiński and Jean Van Hamme. Players will take on the role of the Viking, Thorgal Aegirsson, in an adventure game with RPG elements that could be a strong competitor to The Witcher 4, thanks to the use of UE5 with proprietary extensions and utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as photogrammetry and AI.

Adventures of the most famous Viking has been published since 1977 and translated into 18 languages, selling over 20 million copies. The legendary comic book series serves as a basis for the game. The story of Thorgal, a mysterious “star child” protecting his loved ones from both humans and the wrath of vengeful gods, has become a permanent part of the fantasy canon.

About The Night Wanderer
The game is based on the iconic book series “Lord of the Ice Garden” by Jarosław Grzędowicz. This four-volume saga, creatively blending science fiction with dark fantasy elements, is considered the author’s pinnacle achievement alongside novels such as “Ash and Dust” or “The Book of Autumn Demons.” Recognized by both readers and critics, the series has won many awards, such as the Zajdel, Nautilus, and Sphinx, and has permanently etched itself in the hearts of fantasy fans.

The Night Wanderer will offer gripping, soulslike gameplay with elements of RPG and adventure games based on a dynamic and innovative combat system.

Players will take on the role of Vuko Drakkainen – a mercenary sent to the mysterious planet Midgaard to find a lost scientific expedition. The storyline combines science fiction with traditional fantasy. The gameplay will feature a compelling protagonist, an engaging story, and a vivid, extraordinary world shaped by mysterious forces.

The production is developed in consultation with Jarosław Grzędowicz himself and under the auspices of the publishing house Fabryka Słów, with the creators pledging to make every effort to ensure that the gameplay fully captures the spirit and atmosphere of the novels.
