And if you use your phone to capture all life moments and true to the OPPO’s DNA, the Reno15 Pro keeps its focus squarely on the lens. With a powerhouse 200MP OIS main camera supported by dedicated 50MP telephoto and ultra-wide sensors, it is built for those who love smartphone photography. And then you have compact form factor with its 6.32-inch display that makes this one of OPPO’s most pocketable releases that offers a comfortable one-handed grip which is actually a major feature in an era of oversized smartphones.

That premium feel extends to the overall build quality with its sturdy, aerospace-grade aluminum frame houses a display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the back features resilient AGC DT-STAR D+ glass. By simply connecting a cable or using a wireless link, you can quickly move over contacts, photos and messages, ensuring you’re up and running without the usual transition headaches.

Once the setup is complete, the ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, feels incredibly fluid thanks to the new Luminous Rendering Engine, which makes system animations feel natural and responsive to every touch. It creates a balance between a clean, minimalist aesthetic and deep personalization with some heavy customise options from the “Flux” home screen folders to interactive wallpapers that utilize your own Motion Photos. In relation to updates, the Reno15 Pro offers 5 OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

Performance and day-to-day responsiveness form another cannot be faulted as the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, a 4nm octa-core CPU that balances high-efficiency power with flagship-level speed. This is paired with an ARM G720 MC7 GPU, which provides the graphical muscle needed for smooth gaming and high-resolution video rendering. OPPO equips the phone with a generous allocation of 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which helps ensure that multitasking, app switching and media handling feel smooth and controlled even when several applications are running in the background. In everyday use the phone performs very well, handling social media, web browsing, streaming and productivity tasks with ease and it can comfortably run demanding games.

We tested the phone with 3DMark, an Android benchmarking app that focuses on gaming and graphics. In 3DMark’s Steel Nomad Light, it achieved a score of 1,418, proving it can handle modern mobile titles, while a Wild Life Extreme score of 3,827 confirms it has the sustained muscle for demanding games like Genshin Impact. The device also shines in graphical fidelity, pulling a 6,467 in the Solar Bay ray-tracing test that allows it to create beautiful, realistic lighting and reflections on the fly and even holding its own in the grueling Solar Bay Extreme “torture test” with a score of 675. For a compact 6.32-inch handset, these figures are particularly notable that suggests that both the Dimensity 8450 chipset and ARM G720 CPU manages to maintain flagship-level speed and thermal stability without the aggressive throttling often seen in smaller devices.

Beyond the graphical tests, the OPPO Reno15 Pro delivers a strong showing in general processing power, further validating its “semi-premium” status. In Geekbench 6 testing, the device recorded a Single-Core score of 1,231 and a Multi-Core score of 5,676, figures that highlight the efficiency of the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset for both simple tasks and intensive multitasking. The phone’s graphical potential is also reflected in its OpenCL score of 11,789, ensuring smooth performance for photo editing and video rendering. While these numbers might not reach the absolute peaks of the most expensive “Ultra” flagships, they represent a highly balanced performance profile that comfortably handles daily productivity, high-end mobile photography and steady gaming sessions.

The camera system is impressive to say the least thanks to its massive 200MP OIS main sensor that captures remarkably sharp images with a natural, vibrant color palette. In daylight, the level of detail is exceptional and even when the sun goes down, the light-gathering pixels and Dual Conversion Gain technology makes your photos more noticeable.

This low-light prowess is further enhanced by AI Portrait Glow, which acts as a virtual lighting assistant to ensure skin tones remain warm and clear even in dim or backlit environments. Whether you are utilizing the 50MP telephoto lens for a 3.5x optical zoom portrait or the 50MP ultra-wide for a sweeping landscape, the color consistency remains uniform across all three sensors, delivering professional-grade results that feel both punchy and authentic.Beyond the hardware, the Reno15 Pro introduces a sophisticated suite of AI-driven creative tools that simplify high-end editing for everyday users. The Reno15 Pro comes with a massive 6,200mAh large-capacity battery which allows the phone to comfortably last through a full day of mixed use, even with a heavy combination of streaming, photography, messaging and navigation. When it does come time to refuel, the phone utilizes 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology. This is a high-speed wired charging solution that can take the battery from near-empty to a significant top-up in just minutes, typically reaching a full 100% charge in under an hour. This ensures that a short time plugged in before heading out can deliver enough power for an entire evening, effectively reducing the anxiety that comes with low battery warnings. However one missing feature is wireless charging that is a slight oversight from OPPO and while I generally use corded charging, I do like the convenience as well.

In the end, the OPPO Reno15 Pro is a balanced device that aims to offer a premium experience without fully crossing into ultra-flagship territory. Its compact design, 200MP camera system and massive 6,200mAh battery make it a dependable everyday companion. For many buyers who value a smaller handset that feels considered and cohesive rather than overreaching, that balance will be exactly what makes it worth choosing.
